Getting old is too important to do it alone

More than 175,000 senior people suffer from loneliness, reaching highest peaks in the area of Barcelona, ​​where a 25% of old population live completely alone. In Spain, 6 out of 10 seniors acknowledge feeling lonely. These numbers are specially relevant since loneliness has an impact on both physical and emotional health.

Loneliness and old age are an important issue in which social support is key: simply by keeping company to someone a few hours a week radical changes can happen in their lives. And, for sure, also in yours.

This year our project DAUSS CARES  is giving support to Fundación Amigos de los Mayores, a Foundation created by a group of people that fight unwanted loneliness and social isolation in old age.

We invite you to rethink and rewrite old age, by building a world that avoids seeing senior people as vulnerable because of their age and recognizing their value and experience, and the unique wisdom they bring to our days.
