Innovation and the Future of Europe: DAUSS Takes Part in an Event at the Goethe-Institut in Barcelona

4 November, 2026

Shaping a Europe ready for the future: this was precisely the focus of the event ‘An Innovative Europe: Strategies and Prospects for the Future’, held on 29 October at the Goethe-Institut in Barcelona, in which our colleagues Sebastian Hager and Philip Rosenow took part.

The event centred on fascinating discussions about artificial intelligence, digitalisation, sustainable transformation and the question of how Europe can successfully combine innovation, economic strength and social responsibility.

Particularly inspiring were the presentations by Prof. Christian Stöcker, a cognitive psychologist, professor of Digital Communication and science journalist, and by Prof. Karina Gibert i Oliveras, a professor at the Polytechnic University of Catalonia (UPC) and an expert in artificial intelligence, data science and AI ethics. Both contributed valuable insights into the opportunities and challenges facing technological innovation and society in Europe.

Many thanks to the Goethe-Institut in Barcelona, the Fundació Catalunya Europa, the Friends of the Goethe-Institut Spain association and the NeDeNa team for organising this successful event and for the wonderful opportunity for professional exchange and networking.
